M. Karthikeyan, son of Munirathnam, of Paruthiputhur, Mettut Street, next to Arakkonam, was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai after being unwell for a few days. The hospital administration declared him brain dead last Friday.Following this, Karthikeyan’s family, accepting the request of the hospital administration, came forward to donate his organs. Those organs were transplanted into many people. They became the reason for their survival.
Following this, Karthikeyan’s body was brought to Paruthipudur, and Arakkonam District Magistrate D. Ramesh visited his body in person on Saturday and paid his last respects. He was accompanied by Arakkonam Taluka Magistrate K. Varalakshmi, Revenue Inspector Umapathy, and Village Administration Officer Udayakala.
